~ Groove & Soul meets turn-of-the-century Rock & Roll ~
John’s unique blend of power, range and groove will soon redefine the world’s idea of a pop male-vocalist.
Born and raised in a small town just outside of NYC, John was privileged to be influenced by Broadway crooners, Greenwhich Village grit, and the simultaneously stifling solemnity of small-town sobriety. Being so close, yet so isolated by the biggest city in the world has become the building blocks to John’s coming of age story.
Originally a student of classical voice and theatre, John teamed with Echometrics a few years ago and forged a path to Pop music. Combining the flexibility of a trained singer with the raw power prescribed by Rock-n-Roll heroes of the 70’s and 80’s, John has joined the world where glossy-introspective-turn-of-the-century-rock-n-roll lets iconic singers once again reign free.
As a co-writer of all his material, and an originator of the lyrics, there is no doubt that infectious songs such as “Naked” and “Better off Alone” show his willingness to bare-all, while the deeper ballads such as “Walk Away” show a truly broad range of dynamics and creativity. Listen closely as John turns themes of a struggled life into celebration when the songs finally provide a place to become himself.
A weekly spot in a small club last Spring has led to performances with a brand-new band of professional musicians this Summer. With new material on the way, and a music-video filmed last fall, John has paved the way for a skull-smashing debut. Dance, dance, dance.
